Shohola Falls is a pretty spectacular fall in heavier rains and from time to time,

you can even see kayakers taking advantage of that rain to run over the falls.
From the parking area listed above, head to the back of the parking lot and make your way down the path that follows along the creek. Most of the fall is extremely photogenic, so be sure to stop and take your time on this one. To view the falls from the front, stay on the path and make your way over to the ledge. The ledge is the most dangerous part of this hike. In the winter, it receives the overspray from the creek and creates a huge icicle wonderland. During the winter months, it is not advisable to go on the ledge because of the amount of ice.
